Cobra beat Ulinzi Warriors in Johannesburg at the 2022 BAL Qualifiers. The team from South Sudan posted a 77-67 win for a 1-1 record.
Ulinzi Warriors grabbed a 17-13 lead at the start, while Cobra replied with a 23-15 rally in the second period. Moreover, they added a 21-20 run in the third quarter and won the last stanza 20-15.
Gatwang Dieu (184-PG-03)donne Ndizeye (203-SG-96) stepped up with 32 points and Tom Wamukota (211-C-93, college: Wichita St.) notched 21. David Kongor (204-F-00) and Gatwang Dieu netted 7 points each in a win. Erick Mutoro (180-PG-92) replied with 17 points in a loss.
